Yahoo Sports engaged Provost Studio to visually express its brand – and the diverse range of sports it covers – through a studio refresh.
The previous studio, while well-intentioned, lacked specificity on camera, so Provost set out to design a space that was reflective of its ethos. Challenged with using the existing scenic walls and furniture, the firm transformed the look of the 900-square-foot studio through dramatic lighting and well-curated background props, as well as shifting existing furniture and talent positions to “re-frame” the main shots – creating a more intimate relationship between guest and host through the lens. The brand’s signature purple color was embraced as both a main lighting feature as well as an accent color in the scenic props.
