Provost Studio designed a new broadcast studio for FOX5 New York, creating a dynamic space that enhanced its around-the-clock show line-up.
The existing 5,000-square-foot studio was reconceptualized to include seven distinct presentation areas that maximized flexibility to accommodate a rigorous show schedule, from fashion shows to live band performances. Zones include a main anchor desk, a stand-up social media area, a casual interview setting, weather stand-up and green screen areas, weather center staff work area, kitchen area and performance area. The conceptual layout relies on a “hub and spoke” model, where the main cameras mostly remain centralized with studio shooting areas lining the perimeter. This allows a unique on-air audience perspective, which continuously pans from one presentation area to the next.
FOX5 New York now has a multi-faceted studio that can keep up with its demanding program schedule with ease.
